Melaco at the BUDMA fair in Poznań

The BUDMA 2022 International Construction and Architecture Fair was held in Poznań between February 1 and 4. Contractors, architects, representatives of building materials trade, investors and developers met for the 30th time as part of the event. We were also there and prepared a short summary of the trends that appeared at the fair.

The BUDMA 2022 International Construction and Architecture Fair in Poznań is an important event for all representatives of the furniture and construction industries. The four intense days were filled with shows, conferences and discussions, which focused on innovation, the prevailing trends and directions of product development according to the expectations of modern consumers.

We could not miss it. Although industry events are just taking off after two years of the pandemic, they are a unique opportunity for meetings and conversations that are never as fruitful online. Therefore, we could see the new products with our own eyes, get inspiration and conduct discussions with our partners and contractors. Check out what caught our attention.

Innovative building structures

The construction industry is open to innovation and it was shown during the fair in Poznań. The photo opposite shows, for example, a modern wall structure that differs from traditional fillings and metal laths.

It attracted our attention because it fits perfectly into the wall system we offer DESIGN SOLUTIONS ™ 4_interior. The innovative wall system offered by MELACO provides a seamless click connection and is designed for installation with glue or on a grate.

Natural wood in interiors

Our attention was also drawn to the offer of natural wood finishing elements. This trend has been with us for many years, and it gained special sympathy with the outbreak of the pandemic. To this day, natural wood is a popular element of interior design and there is no indication that this will change.

No wonder – wood wonderfully warms the room, makes it more cozy and attractive, and offers a very wide range of colors and natural patterns.

Solid as a stone

Another trend that does not seem to lose its popularity is stone. This extremely durable, but also very elegant element of interior design refers to nature, just like the aforementioned wood. The patterns are becoming bolder and more eye-catching.

Stone adds class and luxury to the interior, and its additional advantage is versatility – it can decorate a wall, floor, it can be used as a table top or fireplace housing. There are many applications, and a wide selection of colors and patterns opens up great arrangement possibilities. We meet these expectations by offering the MARBLE CARRARA decor, which is very popular among our customers.

An opportunity for meetings

We spent the fair looking for inspiration, but it was also an occasion for important meetings. With both current and potential contractors.

Among other things, we had interesting talks with door manufacturers in terms of deliveries of  DOOR SKIN panels which we manufacture based on our proven technologies. They offer high durability and resistance to elevated temperatures and moisture. We hope that their quality will be appreciated not only by our contractors, but most of all by end customers.

The BUDMA 2022 fair was a source of valuable inspiration for us and an opportunity to leave the plant to meet other industry representatives. In the reality that surrounds us, the possibility of face-to-face conversations is particularly important and we are glad that it becomes more and more possible.
