About the event
Meble Polska is the most international event in the Poznań fair calendar. This year’s edition confirmed it – visitors came from as many as 70 countries around the world. The total number of participants was 11,500 people, more than half of them were foreigners. This shows how popular Polish furniture is and how effectively the event is promoted among industry representatives around the world. The fair was attended by representatives of purchasing groups and furniture showroom chains from the United States, United Arab Emirates, Israel, China, Saudi Arabia, and even from exotic Mauritius.
In such an international atmosphere, we talked about the prevailing trends, the situation on the markets in Europe and in the world, as well as the expectations of consumers, their habits and the way they perceive the interiors. Over 230 companies from over a dozen countries presented their offer.
As the organizers wrote on the event website, Meble Polska is the world’s largest exhibition of the Polish furniture industry:
This year’s exhibition was located in halls 3, 4, 5 and 6. Many leading Polish furniture manufacturers presented their offer. In addition to affordable furniture made of chipboard, the fair also featured solid wood products and other high-end furniture. Producers of upholstered furniture and mattresses were also represented in large numbers.
Meble Polska 2022 Trade Fair – trends in the furniture industry
While strolling around the enormous exhibition space, we noticed solutions that are closely related to the technologies and production lines offered in our plant, as well as to the orders with which our customers turn to us. Here is an overview of the most important trends that caught our attention.
3D fronts with profiled surfaces
Three-dimensional fronts are a trend that is gaining more and more popularity due to the aesthetics of workmanship and finish. They offer wide possibilities in terms of design, and in combination with modern technologies, they ensure long-term durability, resistance to damage, increased temperatures and humidity. Especially popular are the profiled surfaces in the QUAD pattern (left) and PIPE (right), which are also available in our offer.
The exhibition presented by the VIVALDI company referred to this trend. Elegant, symmetrical bodies combined lightly-coloured, natural wood with the fashionable ORIA BLUE colour used on the fronts. The whole thing has a very modern finish, while offering high functionality thanks to the modular structure of the collection.

Stylish PREMIER MATT finish
In addition to the ORIA BLUE, the deep green colour offered by HIGHLAND GREEN decor was also very popular. We offer both of them in the PREMIER MATT finish. The matt surface of the fronts is a trend that has been replacing the so far popular high gloss for some time. It offers a very low light reflectance (2-3), as well as a very desirable anti-fingerprint effect that protects the surface of the fronts against fingerprints. In addition, the fronts in the PREMIER MATT finish have regenerative properties – small scratches can be reduced with heat. They are resistant to stains (1B), thanks to which they do not discolour even after contact with strongly colouring substances (effectiveness confirmed by tests) and scratching (1.1-5 N).
Wood with a natural structure with ‘treated knots’ effect
A clear trend that we have been observing since the beginning of the pandemic is the return to patterns that reflect the natural structures of the wood. Therefore, the fronts with the so-called ‘treated knots’. We offer them with the FLAGSTAFF OAK and EVOKE OAK patterns.
This trend was perfectly illustrated by the booth of MEBLE WÓJCIK, which combined the FLAGSTAFF OAK decor in a very stylish way with the subtle CASHMERE colour in the PREMIER MATT finish.

Conglomerate furniture
The solution we couldn’t pass by indifferently were tables made of conglomerate at the stand of the WEJERT company. They fit perfectly into the trend related to natural structures. Instead of wood, the manufacturer chose stone, which, combined with the symmetrical shape of the table, gave an extremely tasteful, aesthetic effect.
