Polish product on the international market

Start-up Noo.ma is a dynamically developing e-commerce with a mission. Its founders place great emphasis on sustainable development, transparency in production and prices, as well as on locality. They want each project to be implemented entirely in Poland. The start-up also has a clear development goal.

We are trying to build a company that has a comprehensive commercial offer. – says Cyprian Bieniarz, representative of Noo.ma. – We offer box furniture, but also upholstered furniture, coffee tables, accessories, we are also working on lighting. We operate 100% in e-commerce, i.e. 100% of our orders are carried out by our online store. Every month we reach thousands of customers and we export the vast majority to Western markets. We want Noo.ma to be the first brand from Poland that is recognizable in the international arena and we want to be a big player in this market.

However, international ambitions did not obliterate the most important thing – the desire to have products made locally. Therefore, when Noo.ma was looking for a contractor for its products, it turned to Polish production plants.

We were looking for a Polish company in our area that would professionally approach the production of our box furniture – says Cyprian Bieniarz from Noo.ma. – We offer several models of box furniture, chests of drawers and RTV. So we sent an inquiry to several companies, one of them was Melaco. We met with a very nice response and professional service. We are currently implementing two products for production and we plan a very long cooperation.

In addition to the production itself, the design team at Noo.ma also needed technical support. A partner who will help you choose the right technologies for the implementation of ambitious projects, verify their capabilities in terms of execution, and propose the most optimal solutions. Since we feel best in this role, we were pleased to present our experience and technologies that we use every day.

First product already in production

For the Noo.ma company, we have completed the design of a RTV chest of drawers in three colors: black, white and terracotta. This functional, minimalist piece of furniture with an interesting design meets the most demanding tastes. We had to make sure that its execution would meet equally high expectations.

The elements of the chest of drawers were made on the basis of laminated chipboard – explains Dariusz Piotrowski, Vice President of Melaco Sp. z o.o. – We stick narrow planes using our technology of taping narrow planes with the use of PUR glue, thanks to which we have achieved the effect of no so-called glue line. We perform drilling and milling operations on drilling machines and CNC machining centers. In the second half of November, we have already made the first serial production batch. Noo.ma representatives then visited our plant to perform a quality acceptance. After that we were able to start full production.

The challenges don’t end there. After starting the serial production of the chest of drawers, we will start working on another product that the Noo.ma brand already has in its offer. The planned production date in this case is in the second half or the end of January 2022.

I know that for many companies the price is crucial and of course it is a big factor, but an equally important, if not more important factor is professional service. We counted on help with the implementation of the product into production, answers to questions regarding technical issues, which for us – as a design company – are not always clear, such as the choice of a machine, technology or plate. It’s great that Melaco offers such support and is able to optimize production issues.
