What is MicroMilling™ technology?
MicroMilling™ technology is an advanced solution developed by Melaco that is redefining standards in furniture front manufacturing. The process is based on precision machining of particleboard or MDF covered with a 200-300 μm thick polymer film, using HOT MELT polyurethane adhesive. Importantly, these boards are also manufactured at Melaco. The key stage is the milling of the outer layer with an accuracy of 100-400 μm, carried out using copy units with electronic depth measurement and diamond cutters. Thanks to the integration of specialized Alphacam software, even the most complex graphic patterns can be mapped.
This technology allows the creation of unique designs – from minimalist lines to rich ornaments – offering unlimited design possibilities to designers and furniture manufacturers. Fronts made with MicroMilling™ technology are characterized by high resistance to moisture and temperature, thanks to the use of reactive PUR adhesive. The solution combines aesthetics with durability, delivering premium products that meet the expectations of the most demanding B2B customers.
